The sub-Rs. 15,000 segment of fitness watches in India is quite exciting where a bunch of options, mainly from Amazfit and Xiaomi offer impressive features and performance. OnePlus also has its contender in the segment that does reasonably well. While the category is mainly focused on functionality, there is only a limited focus on aesthetics. OnePlus plans to change that with the product that we have reviewed here.

Kodak has a wide range of smart TVs in India mainly catering to the entry-level segment. While they generally offer reasonable performance and features for the price, they aren't at the same level as TVs from Xiaomi or Hisense. Their flagship CA series has been a different kettle of fish though that manages to click a lot more boxes and offers much better performance.

Soundcore by Anker is a relatively lesser known brand in India for audio products. But from our prior experience with some of their earphones, I can assure you that their products have the potential to hang with the best under Rs. 10,000. The brand has a fairly broad portfolio across various price brackets, and the Life Note E that I have for review here is their latest entry-level offering.

Screen sizes of phones have been growing bigger every six months. So much so that some of the current phones are at least as big, if not bigger, than certain tablets of yesteryear. Just when we thought that Android tablets were nearing extinction, there has been a resurgence in the category over the past year or so. They say necessity is the mother of invention, in this case, reinvention.

Last year we reviewed the Boat Rockerz 330 wireless neckband and quite liked the overall package. Among other things, it offered close to 30 hours of battery backup.

We have covered a lot of budget and mid-range true wireless (TWS) earphones in the past, and now it is time to focus on the premium segment. In India, it is generally a four horse race between Sony, Apple, Bose and Sennheiser at the top of the food chain. In 2020, Sony impressed one and all with the launch of their WF-1000XM3 TWS buds, and set a new benchmark for active noise cancellation (ANC). We expect its successor to be no less in that department.

Not too long ago, 5.1 channel surround speaker systems were quite popular. But one common complaint about them used to be the cables running across the room, especially those connecting the rear speakers to the main unit. I know a lot of people who simply disconnected the rear speakers to minimize the cable clutter. Over a period of time, people started moving to soundbars for convenience.

Most of the wireless earphones released by Realme of late have been impressive, and offer good value for money across various price brackets. We have already reviewed the junior of the two models in their Buds Wireless 2 series with the Neo suffix and were pleased with what it brought to the table.

Samsung has been at the forefront of QLED TVs since the inception of the technology, but other brands have jumped on to the bandwagon over the past couple of years. And of course, most of the competing products have been a lot more affordable with the exception of OnePlus' first maybe.

5G connectivity is taking longer than expected to show up in India but if all goes according to plan from here, we should have 5G in India sometime in 2022. So, if you are looking to buy a new smartphone, you may want it to be 5G ready. Of course, all 5G phones are backward compatible with the current 4G network, in case you were worried. Despite the unavailability of 5G network in India, quite a few phones released over the past year or two have been compliant with the technology.

OnePlus has established itself as a front runner in the midrange to high-end smartphones segment. It hopes to do that in the smart TV category too. The company's foray into the premium TV segment wasn't as successful as they would have liked, and since then have aimed at a more lucrative midrange TV segment. Their new U1S series is the next iteration of the U1 series released last year and brings forth some interesting features to the table.

Those with a budget of Rs. 2,500 or less seeking an entry to fitness wearables space generally opt for fitness bands. The decision is mainly dictated by the fact that there are hardly any good fitness watches available in that budget. However, Realme's sub-brand plans to change that with the launch of the Dizo Watch 2 that promises to offer more than a standard set of features and a larger display at a very attractive price.

Amazfit has been one of the top players in the midrange fitness watch category in India over the past few years. They have also been at the forefront of improving the battery life of these watches and setting new benchmarks. Among the multiple models they sell here, the GTR series has been one of their best. The first Amazfit GTR watch raised the bar for design and battery backup in this segment by several notches. And the company continues to add newer features in the subsequent releases.

Our exploration of the budget true wireless (TWS) earphones segment continues, and it brings us to the Micromax Airfunk 1 Pro that, among other things, boasts of a feature that's rare in the sub-Rs. 2,500 segment -- Qualcomm aptX codec support. Of course, just being compliant with those codecs doesn't magically make them sound great.

Popular German electronics brand Blaupunkt has recently re-entered the Smart TV space in India via collaboration with Indian TV maker Super Plastronics Pvt. Ltd., which also happens to have the brand licenses for Thomson and Kodak TVs. Right from the days before the advent of certified Android TV OS, Amazon's Fire OS has been the platform of choice for consuming different OTT services because of its neat user interface and high quality output. Even today, it remains closer to the top of the food chain, thanks to the Amazon Fire TV Stick line-up, with its 4K variant among the best around. Not too long ago, smart TVs based on Fire OS started arriving in India, but most of them were Full HD TVs at best, when the platform was fully capable of delivering Ultra HD HDR content.
