Eternal invests ₹450 crore into Blinkit for grocery delivery expansion
Business
Eternal just put ₹450 crore into Blinkit to help it grow and keep up with rivals like Zepto and Swiggy Instamart.
This is their first big move in 2026 after investing ₹2,600 crore last year.
The fresh funds will go toward opening more dark stores and covering day-to-day expenses.
Blinkit has more than half the market share
Blinkit uses a dense network of dark stores to offer ultra-fast deliveries (it previously promoted a 10-minute delivery promise).
They plan to ramp up from 2,027 stores to 3,000 by March 2027, competing with Flipkart Minutes and Amazon.
Blinkit's revenue and profit growth
Blinkit's revenue jumped from ₹1,399 crore in the year-ago quarter (Q3) to ₹12,256 crore by Q3FY26.
They also turned things around on profits—going from a loss of ₹103 crore to a small profit of ₹4 crore.
