The winner of the 1984 Miss India beauty pageant and one of the leading Bollywood actresses through the 1980s and 2000s, Juhi Chawla, is an actor and film producer in Hindi cinema and an entrepreneur, too. After gaining attention for being crowned Miss India and winning the Best Costume Award at the Miss Universe contest in 1984, Chawla tried her luck in acting. In 1986, the movie 'Sultanat' marked her debut in the film industry, but it was a commercial failure. She finally appeared in her first major role in the 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' co-starring Aamir Khan. The movie made Chawla the first actress to win a Filmfare Award for Lux New Face of the Year. In the early 1990s, she appeared in multiple films including, 'Pratibandh', 'Swarg', and 'Bol Radha Bol', in which she starred opposite Chiranjeevi, Govinda, and Rishi Kapoor, respectively. In 1993, she appeared in the movie 'Darr', which became the highest-grossing film of the year. After appearing in many movies, she founded a production company called Dreamz Unlimited along with Shah Rukh Khan and Aziz Mirza in 2000. She was last seen in the 2019 film 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga'.
