'American Idol' alum Randy Madden arrested on sexual crime charges

Randy Madden, who once auditioned for American Idol, has been arrested on six felony charges involving sexual crimes against a minor.
The alleged incidents happened between July and September 2025.
Madden, now 45, pleaded not guilty and is out on $100,000 bond.

The details of the case

Madden is accused of unlawful sex with someone under 18, oral copulation, penetration by a foreign object, sending explicit material to seduce a minor, luring a minor for sexual purposes, and trying to stop someone from reporting the crime.
His court hearing was postponed to January 8.
Madden hasn't made any public statements about the case so far.
