Arvind Trivedi is an Indian actor and politician who has appeared in several popular Gujarati films. He and his brother Upendra Trivedi have worked in the Gujarati film industry for more than 40 years. Arvind is well-known for portraying the role of Ravana in Ramanand Sagar’s 1987 television series ‘Ramayan.’ He was born on November 8, 1938, in Madhya Pradesh. Arvind has also appeared in several other TV series including ‘Vikram Aur Betaal.’ Throughout his acting career, Arvind has appeared in about 300 Hindi and Gujarati movies. He has also acted in several mythological and social films. He played ‘Dadaji’ in the 1998 Gujarati film ‘Desh Re Joya Dada Pardesh Joya’ which broke several box office records. Arvind served as a member of Parliament from the Sabarkantha constituency as a BJP member and held office from 1991-1996. He has also served as the chairman of CBFC from 2002-2003. He passed away due to a heart attack on October 6, 2021.
