Vidyut Jammwal completes 10 years in showbiz, launches production house

Vidyut Jammwal, who brought another flair to action scenes in Bollywood, announced the launch of his production house today. Taking to his social media accounts, the Commando star informed that he has completed 10 years in showbiz, and to celebrate this milestone, he has started Action Hero Films, his production house. "It's my turn to give as good as I got," he said.

Jammwal, in a statement, said, "I'm buzzing with new energy to lay the footprints of Action Hero Films across world cinema." Thanking his fans, aka Jammwalions, the Jammu and Kashmir-born actor added, "This is their milestone as much as it's mine." Through his enterprise, he wants to make "content that engages, entertains, educates and empowers audiences around the globe, about Indian culture and stories."

A step you need to take, Jammwal on production house

In an interview with Deadline, Jammwal said that his "journey wasn't planned." "I come from an army background, for me it [acting] was only just a dream. It didn't matter if I became a stuntman, as long as I was in the frame doing action," he revealed. When asked why he launched his production house, Jammwal said, "It's a step you need to take."

Jammwal made his debut with 'Force' opposite John Abraham

The 40-year-old, who is a vegan, made his debut in 2011 with Force, opposite John Abraham, where he was the main antagonist, Vishnu. He later appeared in Stanley Ka Dabba in a small role that same year. 2011 also marked his debut in Telugu film industry with Sakthi, which released in April. Six months later, his second Telugu venture, Oosaravelli, had hit the theaters.

Jammwal has 'Sanak', sequel to 'Khuda Haafiz' in his kitty

Last seen in Khuda Haafiz, a Disney+ Hotstar film, Jammwal is currently preparing for its sequel. He also has Sanak, backed by producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah, in his kitty. The film is in the last schedule of shooting, for which the team has headed to Goa. Its principal photography started in January and in that same month, makers dropped its first look, featuring Jammwal.
