Netflix has announced the return of its popular Korean cooking competition series, Culinary Class Wars, with a new season premiering on December 16. The first season was a huge success for the streaming platform, reportedly topping Netflix's Global Top 10 (Non-English TV) list for three weeks in a row. The show features hidden culinary masters known as "Black Spoon" chefs competing against top celebrity chefs called "White Spoon."

The second season of Culinary Class Wars will feature a star-studded lineup of "White Spoon" chefs. These include two-Michelin-star chef Lee Jun, Michelin-starred Korean and Western cuisine expert Son Jong-won, Korea's first Buddhist temple cuisine master Venerable Sunjae, and Chinese cuisine veteran Hou Deok-juk. French cuisine legend Park Hyo-nam and Korean chefs Jung Ho-young, Sam Kim, and Raymon Kim are also part of the team.

The second season of Culinary Class Wars promises new rules and the surprise return of two masked contestants. The show will also feature its signature blind tastings, where judges evaluate dishes solely on their flavor without knowing who prepared them. Producers Kim Hak-min and Kim Eun-ji, along with writer Mo Eun-sol from Studio Slam, are back for this season.
