'Border 2' is a spiritual sequel to 'Border'
The original Border (1997), headlined by Sunny Deol, was set along the border region of Longewala, where a small battalion of Indian soldiers fought against a large Pakistani strike force. It is regarded as one of the landmark Indian war films and is remembered for its performances. Now, the sequel aims to expand the original's legacy.
'Border 2' brings together a star-studded cast and crew
The film marks another collaboration between Dosanjh and Singh, who have previously worked on several successful Punjabi-language films. The cast also includes Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta under the T-Series and JP Films banners, Border 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on January 23, 2026. The release date has been strategically chosen to coincide with the Republic Day weekend.
