    Unlike the previous installments which were stories, it is a play which takes place 19 years after the events of the books.

    The book, which is only available in script form, went on sale hours after the play premiered in London.

    From her childhood, she wrote fantasy stories for her younger sister Dianne.

    She attended St.Michael's Primary School, and completed her B.A. in French and Classics from the University of Exeter.

    While travelling from Manchester to London in 1990, Rowling first conceived the idea for the Harry Potter series.

    She submitted copies of the manuscript to twelve publishers and was rejected by all.

    A year later, in 1996, Bloomsbury agreed to publish it and the first copies hit the shelves in 1997.

    In 1998, Scholastic bought publishing rights of the book for $105,000, marking Rowling's first success.

    When it was released, 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' became the fastest selling book in the world with 372,775 copies sold on the first day.

  • After a 3 year gap, 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' was released in 2003, followed by 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' (2005), and the last installment 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' (2007).

    The last book, which ended with the boy wizard's triumph over Voldemort, shattered previous book sale records with 11 million copies sold on the first day.

    Amazon was filled with reviews warning fans not to read the book and "continue to live in her past works of art."

    Fans were mostly disappointed by the narrative of the new book, as it was meant to be a script.
