Casting details
'It could be any of the younger nepo babies'
Mirza joked, "And none of them would actually be acting that much." Karan joined in, saying, "I think it would be a great pairing." He also mentioned that Tina could be played by Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, or Sara Ali Khan. "It could be any of the younger nepo babies," he added.
Nepotism debate
Have I ever launched someone on request? No: Johar
When Mirza asked if Johar had ever launched an actor because their parents told him to, he firmly said no. "I knew their parents, but no parent ever called me and said, 'Launch my kid.' Never. Not once." "I know they are nepo babies. I know their parents. I've seen them grow up in front of me. But none of their parents have ever called me...I've even been refused a few times."
Career highlights
Meanwhile, here's how 'KKHH' changed the course of Dharma
Johar's father, Yash Johar, produced his first film under Dharma Productions in 1980 with Raj Khosla's Dostana. The film was a massive hit, but the subsequent movies Duniya, Muqaddar Ka Faisla, and Agneepath failed at the box office. It wasn't until Johar's directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai that Dharma Productions found its footing. The film was a blockbuster and paved the way for future successes like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... Today, Dharma is reportedly valued at ₹2,000 crore.
