  • Superstar Salman Khan will get sued by the Khan Market Traders Association for using the market's name for his new online shopping platform- khanmarketonline.com.

    The traders will approach Delhi HC when it reopens on 4 January on this issue.

    However, many lawyers contend that since they will not be competing in the same market, the case will most likely be dismissed.

  • Salman Khan was born on 27 December 1965 to legendary screenwriter Salim Khan and Sushila Charak (who later adopted the name Salma Khan).

    He was schooled at the Scindia School, Gwalior and St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra.

    Salman attended the Elphinstone College but dropped out after the second year.

    He started his acting career with a supporting role in Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988).

    After this, he continued his success with the likes of movies like 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' (2004) and 'No Entry' (2005).

    It was Prabhudeva directed 'Wanted' (2009) that salvaged Salman's dying career.

    In 2015, he starred in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' (2015) which collected Rs.1.02 billion in its first weekend, and then 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' which was a huge success too.

    Salman was formally charged with culpable homicide in July 2013 to which he pleaded not guilty.

    In March 2015, Salman's driver Ashok Singh testified that he was driving the car and not Salman.

    In December 2015, Salman was acquitted of all charges due to lack of evidence.
