Actor-director Seema Pahwa has confirmed that she will not be directing the Hindi remake of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, which was to be produced by Aamir Khan. Speaking to Mid-Day, she said, "We had a conversation with Aamir Khan. He wanted me to direct, but some things didn't work out." Khan has reportedly dropped the idea of the project as he couldn't find a suitable cast.

Pahwa is currently shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ki Shaadi, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari. She expressed her excitement about being part of Barjatya's film, saying, "The film is shaping up beautifully. Soorajji's films continue to be connected to our values and families." Apart from this, she is also preparing to lead and direct her play Kuch Panne at the Rangshila Theatre Festival in Mumbai on December 9.

Pahwa's upcoming directorial venture and love for family-oriented stories
Pahwa, who made her directorial debut with Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, is all set to begin her second film. She said, "I am taking [my second film] on floors soon. The prep is on. I like family-oriented stories. So, I can't make anything far removed from that space." "The new story is also about relationships," she added.
