The veteran actor had a glorious career spanning seven decades, making her mark across the big screen and television alike. Kaushal made her acting debut with Neecha Nagar in 1946. Neecha Nagar not only made Kaushal a household name but also got recognized at the international level, winning a coveted Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. It was the first-ever Indian film to get this honor. Later on, she went on to star in films like Biraj Bahu (1954), which earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
