Meghan Markle might choose Priyanka Chopra as her child's godmother

Meghan Markle has been at the center of media's attention ever since she first announced her engagement with Prince Harry.

And, now, the world can't wait to welcome the first child of the royal couple.

Understandably, there's a lot of curiosity surrounding the child's godparents.

Believe it or not, but Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who's a close friend of Meghan, might be the child's godmother.

Notably, Royal commentator Andrea Boehlke spoke to media about the possible godparents of the child yesterday.

She mentioned a whole gamut of names like Princess Eugenie, Meghan's best friend Jessica Mulroney, ace tennis player Serena Williams whom Meghan met in Super Bowl in 2010.

Continuing, she said, "Priyanka Chopra has been mentioned, as has Misha Nonoo, the fashion designer."

To recall, Priyanka and Meghan are close friends and the Desi Girl also attended Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018.

Priyanka has also posted about the same, "Every once in a while there's a moment when time stands still. That happened today."

Although Meghan and Harry couldn't attend Priyanka and Nick's wedding, Priyanka had introduced Nick to Meghan in July'18.

When Priyanka heard of Meghan's pregnancy, she told media that she was "really excited for her".

"I think this is a new phase in every woman's life...and I hope hers is as amazing as she wants it to be," she said.

PeeCee also said she thought Meghan was doing an "amazing job" as a new member of a royal family.

About her friendship with Meghan, Priyanka said, "I think friendships depend on people individually and how personal your relationship is. You can have work friendships, those are different."

"But when you've real friendships, like ours, it doesn't matter what people look at you or where your world goes, you sort of just, stay friends. And, I think that's what we are like," she said.
