15 Keralites return home after being rescued from Myanmar

India

Fifteen people from Kerala, trapped in a cyber scam hub in Myanmar, are finally back in India.
They were among 578 Indians rescued from KK Park, a notorious center for online scams near the Myanmar-Thailand border.
Their homecoming happened over three days—on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday—after a period of uncertainty.

They were tricked by fake job offers

The Indian Air Force flew them out on special flights from Thailand, thanks to a coordinated push by Indian and Thai authorities.
NoRKA Roots, an agency for Keralites abroad, said these folks were tricked by fake job offers and forced into online scams before being detained while escaping.
Their return highlights concerns about illegal recruitment and forced labor in the region.
