5 Jharkhand workers stranded in Cameroon finally heading home

India

Five migrant workers from Jharkhand, who were stuck in Cameroon without pay, are finally coming back to India on Tuesday.
Their situation caught attention thanks to social activist Sikander Ali, and after some quick teamwork by the Labour department and Indian Embassy, the workers received their pending salaries and got flights booked home.

Embassy steps in, families relieved

The Indian Embassy worked with local authorities to speed up paperwork so the workers—Sunil Mahato, Sukar Mahato, Chandrashekhar Kumar, Dilon Mahato, and Dilchand Mahato—could travel.
They'll land in Mumbai first and cover their own train fare back to Jharkhand.
Their families are eagerly waiting for them, making this a much-needed happy ending.
