11 people's bodies were recovered from the debris of the collapsed under-construction building in Hyderabad.
The state government arrested the owner of the building and said he would be punished; tough action would be taken against him for the violation of construction rules.
K T Rama Rao, Telangana Municipal Administration Minister announced an ex-gratia of Rs.10 lakh to the families of those killed.

1 dead, 2 injured as building collapses in Hyderabad

One person has reportedly died while 2 others are gravely injured as the six-storey building collapsed in the information technology suburb- Nanakramguda in Hyderabad.
The police fear that at least 10 more people are still trapped under the debris.
The building was freshly built; tiling and plumbing work had been going on when the mishap took place late on Thursday night.

The building was owned by one Sattu Singh and housed almost 25 people, mostly the families of the construction workers and included four to five children and women respectively.

Building's construction breached rules: Deputy Commissioner

Deputy Commissioner of Police stated that breach of rules was seen in the architecture of the building which could have led to the collapse.
Mayor of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation- Bontha Ram Mohan said: "The building was poorly constructed and flouted norms in the materials used, hence the collapse".
N Narshimha Reddy- Telangana Home Minister and Padma Rao- Excise Minister reached the accident site.

Rescue operation is underway; CM seeks expedition of operation

Police and fire brigade employees commenced the rescue action in the area.
National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams were also deployed to join the rescue operation.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed anguish on the wreck of the multi-storey building, and commanded ministers from the city to ensure that rescue and relief operation are underway.
Ambulance was stationed to ferry the injured to hospitals.
