Chennai Metro's Blue Line had an unexpected pause between Central Metro and High Court stations on Tuesday, leaving passengers in the dark—literally.
After a power issue or technical glitch, an announcement asked everyone to walk about 500 meters to the next station.
Videos showed commuters making their way through the tunnel, holding onto handrails.

What happened next

Chennai Metro Rail quickly updated on X that normal service was back on both the Blue and Green Lines.
They apologized for the hassle and assured everyone operations were running smoothly again.
