Bhushan apologizes, says Krishna tweet was "inappropriately phrased"
Swaraj Abhiyan founder Prashant Bhushan apologized for the tweet against anti-Romeo squads in which he used derogatory language against Lord Krishna. Taking to Twitter, he said that his Tweet "was inappropriately phrased...I unintentionally hurt the sentiments of many people. I apologize and delete it." His tweet led to several protests against him, as well as formal police complaints against him.
BJP files complaint over Prashant Bhushan's insult to Lord Krishna
Delhi BJP spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has filed a police complaint against advocate and the co-founder of Swaraj Abhiyan Prashant Bhushan, over his tweet that was deemed insulting to Lord Krishna. However police have not yet registered an FIR against Bhushan in this regard. Bhushan had tweeted about the moral policing done by UP's anti-Romeo squads linking it to Lord Krishna.
What was Bhushan's Tweet?
Taking to Twitter, Bhushan said "Romeo loved just one lady, while Krishna was a legendary Eve teaser. Would Adityanath have the guts to call his vigilantes Anti-Krishna squads?" Tajinder Pal Bagga accused Bhushan of "intentionally and deliberately....insulting and outraging the religious sentiments of Hindu community."
Prashant Bhushan booked over anti-Romeo squad tweet
Lucknow police have registered an FIR against Swaraj Abhiyan founder Prashant Bhushan over his tweet on the anti-Romeo squads which was deemed insulting to Lord Krishna. UP Congress spokesperson Syed Zeeshan Haider registered the complaint against him in Lucknow. In Delhi, BJP spokesperson Tajinder Pal Bagga registered the complaint. Lucknow police booked him for hurting religious sentiments and promoting religious enemity.
