Murderer son left smiley in blood as he was 'relaxed'
21-year-old Siddhant Ganore, cop's son who stabbed his mother to death and drew a smiley in her blood, said he did so because he felt "relaxed". "He said it just occurred to him at the time," investigators said. Last week, after killing his mother, he also left a message in her blood: "Tired of her, catch me & hang me."

In a gruesome case, a police officer's wife is suspected to have been murdered by their 21-year-old son Siddhant, who then drew a smiley with her blood next to her body. "Tired of her. Catch me and hang me," said an accompanying message, also in blood. The boy has since been missing. The cop, Dnyeshwar Ganore, was part of the Sheena Bora probe team.
Cop returned to locked door, waited outside for two hours
Ganore discovered the tragedy when he reached his Santacruz home from work at night on May 23. The door was locked. He waited outside for two hours before spotting the house keys in a dustbin outside, and went in to find Dipali's body. She was rushed to hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. There were multiple stab wounds.

Friends of Siddhant, a National College student, said he had been aloof since the last couple of months, and had also been inactive on social media. Cops said Dipali used to scold him regularly over bad grades. She also reportedly denied him pocket money.
Mumbai cop's son confesses to murdering his mother, arrested
The 21-year-old son of a Mumbai cop, suspected to have murdered his own mother and drawing a smiley with her blood near her body, was arrested on Thursday from Jodhpur in Rajasthan. Madan Beniwal, the Station House Officer said Siddhant (the accused) confessed to killing his mother. He was reportedly suffering from depression. Siddhant was arrested from a hotel near the railway station.
