Hyderabad cop nabbed for stealing (fake) Rolex during raid

India

A Hyderabad police constable has landed in trouble after he was caught on camera swiping a fake Rolex watch during a raid on November 25.
The operation targeted Bathini Shashikanth, who's facing charges of impersonation and forgery.
The missing watch came to light only after officers reviewed the raid footage, raising eyebrows within the department.

What actually happened?

Constable Sriramula Sharan Kumar, who was supposed to be filming the raid, was seen pocketing the watch instead of listing it as evidence.
Another constable's video exposed his move, leading to an internal probe and an FIR against him.
Kumar later admitted to taking the watch after being arrested on November 28, and it was recovered from his home.
Police say they're digging deeper to make sure accountability is upheld within the force.
