Indian Railways to run 89 special trains from December 6-8

India

Travel plans getting shaky with widespread flight cancelations?
Indian Railways is stepping up by launching 89 special train services across the country, primarily operating between December 6 and 8, to make travel easier during the winter rush.

More trains on busy routes

Special services will cover major routes like Pune-Bengaluru, Pune-Hazrat Nizamuddin, Santragachi-Yelahanka, and Cherlapalli-Shalimar.
Zones like Central, South Eastern, and Northern Railways are rolling out these extras to keep things moving smoothly when regular options are packed.

Helping out where it's needed most

Extra trains are also running from high-demand places like Gorakhpur, Patna, Prayagraj, and Durgapur.
With so many flights disrupted lately, these new train options should make travel a bit less stressful for everyone trying to get home or head out this season.
