IndiGo delays spark passenger outrage; airline blames software upgrades
India
IndiGo flights ran late by 30 to 90 minutes on Tuesday, leaving many passengers frustrated and vocal online about confusing updates and long waits.
At Delhi airport, one traveler described the situation as "complete chaos," with an 11pm flight to Bengaluru still grounded hours later.
Why all the delays?
Turns out, these hold-ups followed mandatory software upgrades on IndiGo's A320 planes—something required to fix flight-control issues.
The process slowed things down for several airlines, but IndiGo said all its A320s are now compliant.
Still, some flyers weren't happy: one mentioned three out of four recent flights were delayed nearly two hours, while others struggled to get help from customer service.
