IndiGo to operate 1,630 flights amid operational crisis
India
IndiGo, India's biggest airline, is still flying 1,630 flights this Sunday—even as it deals with a major operational mess.
Since early December, over 2,100 flights have been canceled (including 850 just on Saturday and 650 on Sunday), affecting many travelers at big airports like Delhi and Mumbai.
What's being done about it?
After delays hit a record low for on-time flights earlier this week, the government stepped in—capping ticket prices and telling IndiGo to fix things fast.
Authorities want all refunds sorted by Sunday evening and have asked the airline to explain what went wrong.
Meanwhile, IndiGo has set up a crisis team, and the crisis is expected to continue till December 10.
