Kerala: 90-year-old steps up for local elections

Narayanan Nair, a 90-year-old retired government worker, is running as an independent in Kerala's upcoming local body polls.
He's contesting from Ashamannoor village panchayat's second ward, with voting set for December 9 and 11, and results on December 13.

Campaigning the old-school way

Instead of posters or flashy ads, Nair is going door-to-door to meet voters face-to-face—always in his trademark white shirt and dhoti, carrying a black clutch bag and using a kettle as his symbol.
