Navy Day: Indian Navy steps up its game

With Navy Day around the corner, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi shared how the Indian Navy has made some big moves lately.
Operation Sindoor kept the Pakistan Navy stuck to their bases and coastline, while also shaking up their maritime trade—global shipping is now steering clear of Pakistani ports.

Modern upgrades and future plans

The Navy's getting a serious upgrade: INS Aridaman is about to join the fleet, the Navy is close to finalizing the contract for six new-generation submarines under Project 75 (India), and Rafale Marine fighter jets will start arriving in 2029.
On top of that, new tech like real-time surveillance from the National Maritime Domain Awareness project and extra support from INS Aravalli show how the Navy's ready for modern challenges.
