President Rule
President’s Rule refers to the enactment of the article 355 of Indian constitution. It leads to the suspension of state government and imposition of direct Central Government rule in a state. The article states that the duty of union is to protect state against external aggression and internal disturbance. The executive authority is then exercised by the centrally appointed governor.
