Google Pixel Watch's always-on display just got more useful

Google is rolling out a new update to the Google Clock app on Pixel Watches, with a limited rollout, letting you check timers, stopwatches, and media controls right from the always-on display (AOD).
No need to wake up your watch—these features are all part of version 6.11, with version 6.11 rolling out as of December 8, 2025.

What else to know

The update is arriving in phases, so not everyone has it yet. Some users have spotted it already; others are still waiting.
You can try updating manually via the Play Store on your watch, but access may vary.
While you'll see handy info at a glance now, animated graphics like countdown rings won't show up in AOD mode just yet.
