Jolla Phone is back in India—with a focus on privacy and repairability

Technology

Jolla, the Finnish tech brand, is making a comeback in India with its new Jolla Phone.
This updated version stands out for its modular design—think replaceable back cover and battery—making repairs easy.
It runs on Sailfish OS, promising hardware-level privacy controls and long-term software support for those who care about keeping their data safe.

Pre-orders, price, and what you get

Jolla's new phone already beat its pre-order goal of 2,000 units worldwide.
If you want one, you can reserve it now with a €99 (about ₹10,400) deposit; full pre-order price is €499 (around ₹52,500), while retail will be between €599-€699 (roughly ₹63k-₹73k).
Specs-wise: there's a 6.36" Full HD AMOLED display, MediaTek 5G chip, 12GB RAM, up to 2TB expandable storage, a sharp 50MP main camera—and even a Privacy Switch that lets you disable key components for extra security.
It supports Android apps too and has all the latest connectivity like WiFi-6 and NFC.
Deliveries are expected by mid-2026.
