Microsoft rolls out 1st Windows 10 ESU update

Technology

Microsoft just pushed out its first major Extended Security Update (ESU) for Windows 10 version 22H2.
This KB5068781 update patches 66 security holes—including five critical ones and a zero-day bug in the Windows Kernel.
If you're still on Windows 10, your system should now be running build 19044.6575 or 19045.6575.

Update also brings bug fixes

This update isn't just about plugging security gaps.

What is the ESU program?

With official support for Windows 10 ending last month, the ESU program is basically your safety net for another year of vital security fixes—no manual downloads needed; updates roll out automatically.
So if you're hanging onto your current laptop a bit longer, this helps keep things locked down and worry-free.
