Samsung unveils Galaxy Z TriFold, its 1st triple-fold phone
Samsung just revealed the Galaxy Z TriFold, their first-ever smartphone with a triple-folding display.
Announced on December 2, this futuristic device opens up to a roomy 10-inch screen made of three panels.
It's launching in South Korea on December 12 and will roll out soon to China, Singapore, Taiwan, UAE—and the US early next year.
The price? A hefty 3.59 million won (about $2,440).
Why it matters
The Z TriFold is more of a showcase of new technology than an everyday buy—its high price and tricky production make it a rare sight for now.
Foldable phones are gaining ground (the market could grow by 14% this year), but they're still pretty niche. Competition is heating up too: Huawei launched its own three-way folding phone in September, and Apple is expected to join in soon.
Samsung leads the pack with a strong 64% share last quarter but knows durability is key—especially since the TriFold's three-panel design brings new challenges compared to their previous Galaxy Z Fold models.
