Apple to release iPhone 7 in early September
  • According to the sources, Apple is preparing to unveil successors to iPhone6S and iPhone6S Plus as early as next month.

They are expected to be packed with more advanced photography capabilities and upgraded hardware in a design similar to last year's models.

Apple is counting on the phones to boost sales ahead of an expected iPhone overhaul ahead of its 10th anniversary in 2017.

  • Speculated features

    Standout features

    Standout features
  • There will be dual cameras on the larger iPhone which will produce brighter photos with more detail and allow iPhone users to snap SLR quality photos and 3D images on a smartphone.

It will also have a pressure-sensitive home button that will employ the so-called haptic feedback i.e. it will respond to pressure with a vibrating sensation rather than a true physical click.

  • Speculated features

    Design

    Design
  • iphone7 will look similar to the 6 and 6S and will retain the same 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes.

Apple will remove the two innermost antenna lines that run across the back of the current iPhones, to the top and bottom of the phone.

Two new colours- space black and blue are expected to be added to the current range of colours.

  • Speculated Features

Demise of the traditional headphone jack

Demise of the traditional headphone jack
  • The new iPhones will remove the 3.5 mm headphone jack in favor of connectivity via bluetooth and lightning port.

This will make room for a second speaker, allowing the stereo speakers in iPhone for the first time.

People will have to use wireless headphones or ones that plug into the lightning port. Adapters compatible with existing audio accessories are most likely to be available.

  • Speculated Features

    Software and applications

    Software and applications
  • The new models will run iOS 10, the new version of Apple's mobile operating system releasing this fall.

The updated software includes interactive widgets to quickly glance at calendar appointments and favorite contacts, new messaging features, a new application for controlling smart home appliances, and a redesigned Apple Music.

It will also run on current and some past iPhone models.

  • Leaked Information

If rumors are to be believed!

If rumors are to be believed!
  • According to Evan Blass, the most likely release date should be 16 September 2016.

Rumours suggest that Apple is planning to ditch its smaller 16GB storage option in favour of a more generous 32GB base model.

Some leaks suggest that Apple may opt for the name "iPhone 6SE" instead of "iPhone 7" as it is an iterative update rather than a major design overhaul.
