    England, Australia crush their respective opponents at Hockey Junior WC
  • The last day of the pool matches of the 2016 Hockey Junior World Cup saw Australia and England defeating their opponents by a huge margin.

    In Pool A, Australia defeated Korea 5-0, with Govers Blake scoring two back to back goals in 33rd and 34th minute.

    Pool D match saw England's Horler Edward scoring three goals, which led to their victory against Canada.

  • Title favorites India have finished their pool games after a win against South Africa. With a 2-1 win, India are unbeaten in the tournament and have cruised to the quarter-finals.

    Skipper Harjeet Singh and Mandeep Singh scored a goal each for the hosts.

    India topped Pool D with nine points and will be up against Spain in the quarter-finals match on Thursday.

  • Netherlands finished second in Pool B after registering a huge win over Egypt, they, however, finished their campaign without a win.

    It was a one sided match with the Dutch team defeating Egypt 7-0. They have secured their place in the quarter-finals and will be facing table toppers from Pool A on Thursday.

    This was Netherlands' second win by a huge margin.

  • Pool B table topper Belgium defeated Malaysia 3-0 in their last pool game of the tournament. Belgium will face Argentina in the quarter-final match which is scheduled to be played on Thursday.

  • Australia and Argentina won their respective Pool A matches to finish first and second in the table respectively.

    Australia defeated Austria 4-2 to win its both Pool matches.

    In other match, Argentina handed Korea a 5-1 defeat to secure their place in the quarter-finals.

    While Australia will face Netherlands, Argentina will be up against Belgium on Thursday in quarter-finals.
