Maxwell owns these feat
Maxwell is among the few players to finish as the batter with the most sixes in an IPL season twice. While his tally of 36 maximums was the most for any player in IPL 2014, the 2017 event saw him smash 26 sixes. The dasher shared the top spot with David Warner that season.
Recent performance
Terrible run in last two IPL seasons
The last two seasons have been particularly tough for Maxwell, especially during his stint with RCB in 2024, where he managed just 52 runs in 10 matches at 5.77. In his last season with PBKS, Maxwell managed just 78 runs at 8 in nine matches. He was ruled out halfway through the season due to a fractured middle finger. Due to his below-average performance, PBKS chose not to retain him for the upcoming IPL season.
