BCCI sources deny any talks with government on India-Pak series
Denying the reports of sending a letter to the government seeking permission to hold bilateral series with Pakistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sources have said that no letter has been sent. According to reports, BCCI had asked permission from the government to hold bilateral series with Pakistan in Dubai in November this year.
BCCI seeks government's permission to play Pakistan
Under the Future Tours & Programme (FTP) agreement signed between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2014, the BCCI has asked permission from the Indian government to hold a bilateral series with the neighbours. Reportedly, BCCI wrote to the Home ministry asking their permission to play with Pakistan in Dubai later this year.
Government denied permission to hold bilateral series in 2016
India was keen on holding a bilateral series with Pakistan in 2016, but was denied permission by the Indian government owing to tensions between the two countries after violent attacks on the India-Pakistan border.
India-Pakistan series may not happen: Hansraj Ahir
Reacting to the reports of BCCI asking government's permission to hold bilateral series with Pakistan, Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir said that it was not possible for the series to happen. Official spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs said that final decision on the issue rests with Ministry of External Affairs as the series is proposed to take place in Dubai.

PCB chief says BCCI has not contacted them
Pakistan Cricket Board chief Sharayar Khan has said that reports about BCCI contacting PCB were false and no discussion has happened in regard with the bilateral series between the two nations.
