Rajasthan Royals will lock horns with Delhi Capitals in the seventh game of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. The Royals will be high on confidence after nearly pulling off a record run-chase against Punjab Kings. However, they will have to face Rishabh Pant's DC, who completely outplayed Chennai Super Kings in their opener. Here is the statistical preview.

A look at the head-to-head record

The competition between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals has been neck-to-neck in the IPL. Both the sides have won 11 games each, having faced each other in a total of 22 games. However, the Delhi Capitals won both the matches against the Royals in 2020. They won the first game by 46 runs and the next one by 13 runs.

RR will be wary of DC's opening pair

DC's opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw wrecked havoc in the run-chase in against CSK. The duo scored 65/0 in the powerplay, while chasing. While Prithvi recorded a strike-rate of 200 in this phase, Dhawan's strike-rate read 161.11.

The key battles to watch out for

RR skipper Samson, who went ballistic against Punjab, has an interesting record against Mishra. He has managed to score only eight runs off 19 balls by Mishra, while Mishra has dismissed him once. Although Unadkat didn't feature in opening game, his record against DC skipper Rishabh Pant grabs attention. He has dismissed Pant twice in a space of 21 deliveries (38 runs).
