Mourinho not to throw away ManU's chances at FA Cup

Jose Mourinho is a football coach from Portugal who currently manages English football club Manchester United for the 2016-17 season.

He started as an interpreter for Bobby Robson with Sporting Club Portugal in 1992. His role expanded into coaching and he moved to FC Porto with Robson, in 1993.

Mourinho worked as assistant manager for Barcelona from 1996 to 2000.

After short stints as manager with Portuguese clubs Benfica (2000) and Uniao de Leira (2001-1002), Mourinho was appointed to coach FC Porto.

With his tactical acumen, Jose led Porto to UEFA Cup victory in 2003 and UEFA Champions League title in 2004.

His impressive run at Porto made him the top management targets and was hired by English Premier League Club Chelsea, in 2004.

Mourinho described himself as the "Special One" on his arrival to Chelsea in 2004.

Under Mourinho Chelsea won their first Premier League title in 50 years during the 2004-2005 season.

He also guided them to a back-to-back premier league title in 2005-2006 season.

After a turbulent relationship with Chelsea's owner Roman Abramovich, he left the Blues by mutual consent, in 2007.

Mourinho returned to Chelsea in 2013 and the Blues registered their fourth Premier League title in 2014-15, a third under Jose.

But, in the immediate 2015-16 season, Chelsea made a disastrous start losing a total of 9 in the opening 14 Premier League games, their worst ever start in more than three decades.

Owing to club's poor performance, Jose was sacked in Dec 2016.

Mourinho was appointed as the manager of Manchester United, replacing Van Gaal in May 2016.

The start to 2016-17 premier League season hasn't been a great one for the 'Special One'.

Man United so far lost three matches - to Watford, to Man City and Chelsea, and won 4 out of 10 matches played, occupying 8th place in the points table.

Jose Mourinho has a bad reputation for his antics and often gets into trouble for his comments.

Some of recent controversies include sexual discrimination lawsuit against him by former-Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro, where he allegedly insulted her using foul language, during his stint with Chelsea, in 2015.

In one of the latest episodes, he questioned referee Anthony Taylor's suitability to officiate match at Anfield.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was handed one-match touchline ban and fined £58,000 for two FA misconduct charges.

Mourinho admitted to using abusive language towards referee Mark Clattenburg during half-time of Man United's match with Burnley. For this, he was fined £8,000 and banned for upcoming match against Swansea.

He was also slapped a fine of £50,000 for his remarks about referee Anthony Taylor.

Ahead of Manchester United's match against Blackburn Rovers, club's boss José Mourinho said that he won't throw away ManU's FA Cup chances.

While managing Chelsea in 2005, his side had lost to Newcastle United leading to their exit in fifth round of FA Cup.

He said that ManU will 'go serious' as they go to Blackburn in fifth round of FA Cup.
