The decision came just nine months after the Italian guided The Foxes to their first top-flight trophy in their 133-year history. In honour of the sacked manager Claudio Ranieri, fans presented him with banners, masks and a smartphone light show in the 65th minute of the Leicester City - Liverpool game. The fans also chanted his name and gave him an applaud during the match.
Shakespeare ready to become Leicester boss?
After guiding Leicester City to victory over Liverpool, caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare said that he was capable of becoming Leicester's manager. He said, "Do I think I'm capable of it? Yes. Does it faze me? No." Shakespeare added, "It is the owners who decide and they'll do their diligence and look. I think it'll take its course."
