Litton Das slams his fifth Test ton, completes 3,000 runs
Star Bangladesh batter Litton Das has slammed his fifth century in Test cricket. Das reached the three-figure mark on Day 2 of the 2nd Test against Ireland at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. The senior batter added two 50-plus stands, with Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, to get the hosts past 400. Das also completed 3,000 runs in the format.
Das takes Bangladesh past 430
Das came in after Bangladesh recovered from early blows. From 95/3, Rahim and Mominul Haque had taken them past 200. Das joined forces with Rahim, having added a 108-run stand off 209 balls. While Rahim departed, Das eventually took Bangladesh past 430 along with Mehidy Hasan (47). However, the duo fell in back-to-back overs. Das scored a 192-ball 128 (8 fours and 4 sixes).
