India defeated Belgium 2-1 in the finals of 2016 Hockey Junior World Cup to lift the title for the second time.
The two goals came from Gurjant Singh in 8th minute and Simranjeet Singh in 22nd minute.
With this win, India became the second country after Germany to lift the title twice, having earlier won in 2001.

It was Belgium's goalkeeper who turned out to be the hero of the first semi-final between Belgium and Germany, as the six-time champions were stunned 3-4 in the penalty shoot-outs.
The 70-minutes ended with no goals scored; leading to the shoot-outs.
Belgium's goalkeeper made two brilliant saves to guide his team to the maiden final of the men's Junior Hockey World Cup.

While Belgian goalkeeper earned praises for his two saves at the shoot-outs, German goal-keeper Lennart Kuppers made some amazing saves during the game. Belgium was seen dominating the match and created more chances to score a goal than the match favorites Germany.

India reach finals of Hockey Junior World Cup

India played their best game of the tournament to defeat Australia in the penalties to reach the finals of the 2016 Hockey Junior World Cup in Lucknow.
After a 2-2 tie in the 70-minutes, Indian juniors hit four goals as opposed to Australia's two.
Earlier in the game, Gurjant Singh and Mandeep Singh had scored a goal each in the 42nd and 48th minute.

India and Belgium to fight for the WC trophy

It will be India versus Belgium in the finals of the Men's Hockey Junior World Cup on Sunday.
While India started the tournament as the favorites, Belgium pulled a shocker in the semi-finals defeating the defending champions Germany.
It is maiden final for the European team; India has, however, reached the finals of Junior WC in 1997 and 2001, winning the title in 2001.
