He expressed his gratitude toward the Sri Lankan team for their decision to continue with the Pakistan tour despite earlier concerns. "Grateful to the Sri Lankan team for their decision to continue the Pakistan tour," he wrote in his post, adding that "The spirit of sportsmanship and solidarity shines bright."

Earlier, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) had directed its players and support staff to stay on the ongoing Pakistan tour. This came after some members of the visiting team expressed their desire to return home owing safety concerns. In response, SLC said it was prioritizing player safety and had been in talks with PCB over these issues.

The Lankan board also clarified its position on players or support staff who might want to return home. It said such individuals would be replaced immediately so that the series could continue uninterrupted.
