Kumble's closeness with CoA a problem for BCCI?
While some officials from BCCI were backing Kumble for another term, a faction of BCCI officials was not happy with Kumble's closeness with the Committee of Administrators (CoA). Kumble's demand for salary hike for players and himself also irked the BCCI.
What is Team India's problem with Kumble?
Sources said that the Indian skipper Virat Kohli had differences with Kumble during the selection of playing XI in the recent series against Australia. Kohli had shot down Kumble's decision to include left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the team during the Ranchi test. However, Kumble made Yadav play the last test, a last minute decision which did not go well with Kohli.
Anil Kumble steps down as Indian cricket team's coach
Anil Kumble has decided to step down from the post of Team India's coach after holding the position for a year. Earlier in the day, he decided not to travel with the team for the West Indies tour. This comes after the reports of 10 Indian players putting forward their reservation on Kumble continuing as the coach.

BCCI to Kohli: Deliver, else face the consequence
After Anil Kumble resigned as the coach of Indian team, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has warned Indian skipper Virat Kohli to deliver on the field. A top official from the BCCI was quoted saying, "He (Kohli) has to deliver as captain. Otherwise, he had it." His spat with Kohli was one of the main reasons Kumble decided to quit.
