  • Ahead of the Rio Olympics, Yogeshwar Dutt is giving all his strength in training and is determined to win the gold medal for the country.

    Dutt, who will be participating in his last Olympic games said that it's either gold or nothing for him.

    He is representing India in the 65 kg category, five kilos higher than the category he fought under in London.

  • Yogeshwar Dutt gave a miss to the World Wrestling Championships in September 2015 due to a knee injury.

    The 33 year old was declared unfit by the doctors at the event and was advised complete rest for two months.

    The same knee injury made Dutt withdraw from various tournaments in 2009.

  • Yogeshwar Dutt booked his place in the men's 65 kg category at the Rio Olympics after reaching the finals of the Asian Olympic Qualification tournament. He also won the gold medal in the qualification tournament, beating China's Katai Yeerlanbieke.

    He became the second Indian wrestler to qualify for the Olympics after Narsingh Yadav.

    Yogeshwar had won a bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics.

  • Yogeshwar Dutt took to Twitter to hit out at Salman Khan after the latter was named the Goodwill Ambassador of the Indian contingent for Rio Olympics.

    Dutt also questioned Salman's contribution to Indian sports and said that athletes such as Milkha Singh and PT Usha were better for the role.

    The wrestler also hinted that Salman's only intention was to promote his new film.

    Dutt, who lost 0-3, also ended India's last chance to secure an Olympic gold.

    India is currently positioned 64th in the total medal tally at Rio with one silver medal secured by PV Sindhu and a bronze medal secured by Sakshi Malik
