The Royal couple broke the record of Kang Daniel, a South Korean K-pop singer.
Daniel's Instagram account, 'thisisdaniel_k', gathered 10 lakh followers in 11 hours and 36 minutes in January this year, beating Pope Francis.
In 2016, Pope Francis, head of sovereign of the Vatican City State and the Catholic Church, hit the 10 lakh mark in 12 hours of launching his Instagram page.

Earlier, Harry and Meghan shared all their social media accounts with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
However, after the debut of the Duchess and Duke of Sussex on Instagram, the Kensington Palace's official Twitter handle removed the couple from the profile photo and replaced them with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis (William and Kate's children).
