CBSE has kept the bar at 33% for Class 10th and 12th students. A score of at least 33% (in both the internal assessment and the board examination) is required in order to clear the subject.

How is the grading system of class 10th?

The old system of CBSE Board examination has been restored in Class 10 for the academic year 2017-18. As per the circular released by CBSE, the students would be assessed on 100 marks- 80 marks for Board Examination and 20 marks for Internal Assessment. Students will have to secure 33% both in the examination and internal assessment. You can read more details here.

The old system of CBSE Board examination has been restored in Class 10 for the academic year 2017-18. It means, instead of grades, the students will be judged on the marks secured by them. You can read the official circular here.

No, the score of the vocational subject is not considered. However, if a candidate fails to pass any one of the three elective subjects- Science, Social Science, Mathematics; then it will be replaced by the vocational subject (offered as the sixth additional subject). But, it is compulsory to study the vocational subject.

Student who has a compartment in Biology in Class 12th but has 58 percent. Is that student eligible for NEET 2018?

Unfortunately, no. In order to be eligible for NEET, the candidate must have secured passing marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology.
