What is difference between H1B visa and dependent visa?

H1-B Visa is a visa which allows foreign workers employed by US companies to work in the US. The workers who can get transferred to the US under this visa should be engaged in specialised-occupations. H4 is a visa for dependent of H1-B visa holder to travel to USA and stay there with them. H4 visa holders are not allowed to work in USA.

What are the maximum years we can stay in America as an Indian? 2. How can I get a green card if this H-1B change occurs?

A foreign worker including Indian with an H-1B visa can stay in the US for a maximum of six years (plus extensions in certain circumstances). The H-1B visa is initially valid for three years and can then be extended for another three years.
