Aadhaar-based Micro ATMs are basically modified POS (point-of-sales) machines that a bank representative (or bank MITR) carries to enable doorstep banking services. Through it, customers can perform basic financial transactions by only using their 12-digit unique Aadhaar number. In case of inter-bank transactions, they also have to provide their Bank Identification Number. The machine scans fingerprint or iris as identity proof.
