What to do if my name is missing from the Voters' list?

If your name doesn't appear on the voters' list, you can register yourself at the voters' center. You can also log on to the NVSP portal and fill up Form 6. You will need a latest passport-size photograph, an age proof, and an address proof.

You can either visit your nearest Electoral office, and file a complaint in this regard. Or you can also log on to the Election Commission of India's National Grievances Service portal to register your complaint.

Your Voter ID card application reference number is issued to you once you've successfully submitted your application. You must save the reference ID for application tracking purpose.

In order to check your application status online, log on to the NVSP portal. Then on the homepage, click on 'Track application status' link, enter your reference ID, and click on 'Track status' button. Your application status will flash on the screen.

Once your application is successfully submitted, verified, and accepted- your original (physical) Voter ID card will be mailed to you at your given residential address.
