According to the police, Rakesh Jangid ran a fake website with 'Make in India' slogans and PM Modi's photos, claiming that the government was offering free laptops after winning the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

The domain name of the website used to conduct the scheme was 'www.modi-laptop.wishguruji.com'.

How was the accused arrested?
The Cyber Crime Unit of Delhi Police (CyPAD) noticed a huge surge in the website's views while monitoring online activity and got suspicious. An investigation followed and Jangid was arrested from his hometown Pundlota in Rajasthan's Nagaur district.
