French automaker Renault has finally launched its sub-4 meter compact Multi Purpose Vehicle, the Triber, in India.
Starting at Rs. 4.95 lakh, the car is available in four variants: RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ.
The key features of the Triber include foldable seats, start/stop button, and a refrigerated storage area under the front armrest.
Here's all about it.
The Renault Triber features a sporty look with a chrome finished grille, sleek headlamps, a trapezoidal air-intake, and 14-inch wheels.
The ORVMs and door handles of the car match with its body color, while the roof rails, wheel arches, and skid plates have received a blacked-out treatment.
Moreover, it houses projector headlamps along with LED DRLs, indicators, and taillamps for lighting.
Inside, the seven-seater Triber features a three-row cabin with foldable seats offering over 100 different seat-configurations.
It sports a 3.5-inch digital instrument console and an 8-inch infotainment panel with connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The car also gets a host of nifty features such as start/stop button, a refrigerated storage space, and a cooled glove box.
The all-new Renault Triber is powered by 1.0-liter, three cylinder, petrol engine which is capable of producing 71bhp of power and 96Nm of peak torque. For transmission duties, the engine gets a five-speed manual gearbox which sends power to the front wheels.
The Renault Triber comes equipped with disc brakes on front wheels, drum brakes on rear wheels, along with ABS and EBD for better road handling.
The cabin comes with dual-front airbags (four airbags on top model), and rear parking sensors as well as a rearview camera for parking assistance.
Moreover, it also gets seat-belt reminder for front seats and a speed alert system.
In India, the Renault Triber starts at Rs. 4.95 lakh for the entry-level RXE model and goes upto Rs. 6.49 lakh for the top-spec RXZ variant.
The bookings for the MPV are live via all Renault dealerships in the country at a token amount of Rs. 11,000.
Lastly, it will lock horns with rivals such as Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
